David is the
fifteenth person to have completed both versions of the ‘Seven
Summits' (the highest peak on each continent), and in 1995, became
the first person to complete both the ‘Seven Summits' and the fifty
U.S. state highpoints. |
He has chronicled part of
this adventure as co-author of the book ‘Seven Summits - Quest for the
Highest Points.' In recent years, he has explored extremely remote areas
of the world including climbing expeditions to the High Arctic of
Greenland, the Tajikistan Pamirs, and the forbidden north flank of Mount
Ararat.
Prior to his climbing career, David attended The Wharton School of
Business and was a manager with AT&T working with Bank of America and
VISA International. While at AT&T, he received the Sales Vice
President Award and was one of less than 5% of managers throughout the
company to be selected to the Leadership Continuity Program.
He will be presenting an outline entitled "Achieving Your Summit!
Mountain Lessons for the Business World." which will be accomapnied by
his award winning photography from some of the world's most wild
places. He has previously spoken to groups such as the Monterey
Peninsula Foundation, the Homestead Resort, the Sierra Club, the Tahoe
Mountain Photo Festival, the American Alpine Club, The Carmel
Foundation, The York School, The North Face, the Chartwell School, and
numerous Rotary Clubs among others.
