Motivational Speaker: Laurie Skreslet

On October 5th, 1982 at 9:30a.m. Laurie Skreslet received the distinction of becoming the first Canadian ever to climb to the summit of Mount Everest. As a result, he was given a great deal of attention upon his return to Canada. In the process of sharing the story of the climb with Canadians, he became aware of the relevance it held for members of the business community. Many saw a parallel between the challenges of the mountain, and the challenges they faced in the modern business world.

For the past 22 years, Laurie has given over 2,000 presentations across North America, Europe and Asia to audiences ranging from Fortune 500 companies to school groups.
