her accomplishments on the world's greatest mountains. On May 16, 2002, Sue
with her husband Phil climbed to the summit of Mt. Everest and became, "The
first couple in history to climb the Seven Summits".
Sue balances her time between
her professional career and training for mountain climbing. In 1992, while on
vacation, she began climbing with her husband Phil. Since that time she has
climbed 32 peaks over 14,400 feet including 17 successful ascents of Mt.
Rainier. In the spring of 2001, Phil and Sue reached the Balcony of Mt.
Everest at 27,600' before descending. Determined to reach the top, they tried
again in 2002 and successfully completed the Seven Summits.
