Motivational Speaker: Susan Ershler

International Speaker

Business & Sales Executive

Mountain Climber

Susan Ershler has made a living of performing at a high level.  For the past 20 years, Sue served in a number of management positions for Fortune 500 corporations across the nation, predominantly in the Telecommunications industry for Qwest, Verizon, and United Technologies.  Formerly as Regional Vice President, she was responsible for leading a national sales and service organization focused on providing advanced broadband networking solutions to the corporation's largest corporate clients and represented over $600 million in revenue.

Yet, many people know Sue for her accomplishments on the world's greatest mountains.  On May 16, 2002, Sue with her husband Phil climbed to the summit of Mt. Everest and became, "The first couple in history to climb the Seven Summits".

Sue balances her time between her professional career and training for mountain climbing.  In 1992, while on vacation, she began climbing with her husband Phil.  Since that time she has climbed 32 peaks over 14,400 feet including 17 successful ascents of Mt. Rainier.  In the spring of 2001, Phil and Sue reached the Balcony of Mt. Everest at 27,600' before descending.  Determined to reach the top, they tried again in 2002 and successfully completed the Seven Summits.

Reaching New Heights - Everest and Beyond

Now, Sue travels the world telling her story of success on the mountains and in the life of corporate America.

From her experience, Sue has combined the success principles required for reaching the top of a competitive sales organization with those required to reach the top of Mt. Everest and delivers a presentation or seminar especially suited for corporate audiences.  She highlights the work ethic that was required to achieve the ultimate goal of reaching the summit of Mt. Everest.

Whether the objective is an aggressive corporate financial target or climbing a mountain, her fundamentals for goal setting and achievement are virtually the same.  She shares her tools for success including how to:  address and achieve overwhelming goals through vision, focus, perseverance, discipline and teamwork.
